Climate change impacts most communities around the world. Their knowledge, practices and forms of resilience are essential in building effective and lasting solutions. Faced with the intensification of the climate crisis, the SulxSouth was born as a collective effort to unite, strengthen and amplify the voices of the Global South in confronting environmental injustices through collaboration and mutual support.
The HUB SulxSouth is a living, collaborative network, led by its own members. It is a meeting place for leaders, activists and frontline communities, where experiences shape climate strategies centered on justice and equity. Made up of organizations and individuals from different territories, the network builds narratives and solutions based on the rights, needs and power of those who feel the effects of this crisis the most.
The initiative continues the connections made at the meeting held in Santos in 2024 and aims to strengthen a resilient network of climate leaders from the Global South. Our focus is on sharing knowledge, valuing diversity and creating alliances capable of driving structural change.
We cultivate mutual support, guided by care, attention and intentionality, so that the meetings generate meaningful exchanges, deep learning and transformative collective action.
By recognizing territorial knowledge and the realities experienced by the communities most affected, SulxSouth proposes a new narrative for the global climate crisis - one that recognizes the urgency of the moment, but also projects possible and sustainable paths.
This network is both a response and a proposition: a catalyst for transformations based on solidarity, care and the centrality of people. Together, we build more just, livable and plural futures.
