LAB SulxSul was an international meeting organized by the Procomum Institute in partnership with the UMI Fund - an international organization dedicated to supporting innovative and resilient solutions on the climate agenda - to strengthen collaboration between organizations from the Global South (based in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia) that act and build climate justice narratives and actions in their territories.
Faced with the challenges we face, we need to think and act both locally and globally. This meeting was an opportunity to strengthen movements in the Global South by connecting adjacent organizations working at the intersection of climate change and equality. As grassroots movements strengthen and expand, the ability to strategically engage key audiences is essential to building a broader coalition capable of influencing policies and narratives.
SulxSouth 2024 was a space for communicators, organizers, mobilizers, creatives, activists to come together, share their expertise and experiences, learn together, talk about resources, politics, common challenges, solutions found and mutual empowerment.
O evento também estimulou a colaboração, a liderança coletiva, o fortalecimento de uma rede transdisciplinar de iniciativas altamente criativas com foco especial na justiça climática.
